Now that my IELTS Academic test at the University of Calgary is done, we decided to walk around the University Campus for a bit, and take you on a little tour through the Main Campus of the University of Calgary. We saw most of the buildings of the University of Calgary during this 29 minute walk, but we didn't had the opportunity to see all the buildings, as we had to go back to the Greyhound Bus Depot to return to Edmonton. This video was recorded September 3, 2016, a Saturday, and before the beginning of the new school year. That's why there was almost no one on Campus at the time. I apologized for the image being shaky, but I recorded this video using my Pivothead glasses, so every time I walked the camera moved a bit, since the camera was on my glasses. ATB Financial's very own Ian Aman, managing director of the Customer Care Centre, is undertaking a momentous endeavor which started on July 1st, 2016. He's running 1,600 kilometers across Alberta, from north to south, in 62 days, to increase awareness about mental health issues. Starting at the Alberta / NWT border, the goal of the run is to promote wellness--not just physical wellness, but emotional, spiritual and mental--all while inspiring the entire province. On August 16, Ian's trek brought him through Calgary. ATB Calgary Campus came together to celebrate this incredible journey and show our support as he continues his run across Alberta. On January 28, three student companies from the Junior Achievement Program set up shop at Calgary Campus to market and sell their products. It was a real-world opportunity for the students to put their marketing and sales tactics to use. ATB team members provided feedback and comments to the student companies. Providing expertise and experience to the next generation of the business world—it’s a win-win.
